Part time (3 days per week)

Remembrance Park Central Victoria (RPCV) is a not-for-profit organisation and have a rare opportunity for a HR officer to join our team. If you like making a difference within the community then this role is for you. 

RPCV is a Victorian public entity established as one of five Class A Cemetery Trusts under the provisions of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003. It is accountable to the Minister for Health through the Department of Health. RPCV has sites at Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk, White Hills, Axedale, Emu Creek, Kialla West and Pine Lodge. 

This role is based at Eaglehawk, in RPCV’s head office.


Current Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to be part of the team reporting to the CEO. 

The successful candidate will posses

  • Previous experience in a similar roll
  • Ability to be self- directed and work autonomously
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification
  • Proven computer literacy skills 
  • Fantastic Time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • A current Driver’s License

It is mandatory for the successful candidate to undergo a National Police Check and provide evidence of vaccination status. RPCV employees must meet vaccination requirements set by the Victorian Government.

Grave Digger

RPCV is a Victorian public entity established as one of five Class A Cemetery Trusts under the provisions of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003. It is accountable to the Minister for Health through the Department of Health. RPCV has sites at Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk, White Hills, Axedale, Emu Creek, Kialla West and Pine Lodge. 

Position is based at Eaglehawk Cemetery, 5 Victoria St  and requires travel to other RPCV memorial parks sites. 

Current Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Grave Digger to be part of the team reporting to the Team Leader/Co-Ordinator Cemetery Operations. Position duties include;

  • finding and confirming burial and interment locations prior to commencement of work
  • digging of graves and re-opening of graves
  • excavation of rock as required
  • shoring of graves
  • dressing up of graves 
  • backfilling graves
  • slumping, top dressing, seeding and sod replacement
  • ashes interments
  • plaque, vase, flower holder installations
  • assist the general public with onsite enquiries 
  • general grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks
  • maintenance of equipment
  • property maintenance including repair of infrastructure, particularly if damaged when grave digging
