People and Payroll Officer

Remembrance Parks Central Victoria (RPCV) is a Class A Cemetery Trust operating cemeteries across regional Victoria. We care for significant community spaces, support families during meaningful moments and maintain a strong commitment to professionalism, compassion and service.

We are seeking a capable and organised People & Payroll Officer to strengthen our Corporate Services team. This role plays an important part in supporting RPCV’s people functions, ensuring smooth payroll processes, dependable administration and positive staff experiences across the organisation. You will work closely with the Director of Corporate Services and contribute to a well-coordinated, supportive and values-driven workplace.

About the role

This position delivers accurate end-to-end payroll in Xero and provides practical support across recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, personnel records and general HR administration. The role also assists with health and safety administration, staff engagement initiatives and the preparation of people-related templates and resources. You will help prepare documents and materials, maintain reliable records and systems and assist with a range of Corporate Services activities that support daily operations.

About you

You are detail-focused, confident with payroll and HR administration, and able to manage confidential information with professionalism. You enjoy structured processes, can handle competing deadlines and work well with guidance. You’re organised, willing to learn and keen to support a small, purpose-driven team.
